Start WhatsApp chats with a scan
Put a WhatsApp QR code on your shop window, menu, business card or packaging and customers can message you without saving your number first. Scanning opens a chat with you, with your message already typed.
The code uses WhatsApp's official click-to-chat link (wa.me), so it works on iPhone and Android with WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business installed. It's a static code: it never expires and nobody tracks the scans.
How to make a WhatsApp QR code
Enter your number
Type your WhatsApp number in international format with the country code, for example +44 7700 900123. Spaces and dashes are fine.
Add a message
Optionally write the message that appears in the chat box, like "Hi, I'd like to book a table". The person scanning can edit it before sending.
Download and print
Pick your colors, add your logo, then download a PNG or SVG. Scan it once to check it opens the right chat.
Why use a WhatsApp QR code
No saving numbers
Customers start a chat in one scan instead of adding you to their contacts first.
Message ready to send
A pre-filled message tells you where the chat came from, like a table number or a flyer.
Works everywhere
Uses WhatsApp's own wa.me links, supported on iPhone, Android and WhatsApp Business.
Print-ready
SVG for signs and packaging, PNG up to 2048 px for screens and social posts.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a QR code for my WhatsApp?
Choose WhatsApp in the QR type menu, enter your number with its country code and download the code. Scanning it opens a WhatsApp chat with you.
Does it work with WhatsApp Business?
Yes. The code opens a chat with the number in whichever WhatsApp app is installed, including WhatsApp Business.
Why do I need the country code?
WhatsApp links need the full international number. Leave out the leading zero of the local number, for example +49 151 … instead of 0151 …
Can I change the message later?
The message is stored in the code, so a new message needs a new code. To change it after printing, put a short link to your wa.me chat in the QR code instead and edit the short link.
Is it free?
Yes, free with no sign-up, no watermark and no scan limit. The code never expires.
