    Waiting for email

New mail shows up here on its own.

Receive-only. Your addresses are saved in this browser.

    How it works

A temporary email address in one click

Need an email address for a sign-up, a download or a one-time code, but don't want your real inbox full of newsletters? Open this page and you already have one: a short, disposable address like otter42@asus.lol that receives mail right away.

New messages appear on their own within seconds. Verification codes are picked out so you can copy them in one click, and the inbox deletes itself, with every email in it, when its time is up. If it runs out while you're using it, you get a fresh address automatically.

    How to use temp mail

    1. Copy your address

A random address is created as soon as you open the page. Copy it, or choose your own name in the options.

    2. Use it anywhere

Paste it into the sign-up form, download page or newsletter box that's asking for an email.

    3. Read the email here

The message shows up in the inbox within seconds. Copy the code or open the verification link, then let the address expire.

Built for sign-ups and verification codes

    • Codes, copied in one click

One-time codes are detected in the subject and message, and verification links get their own button.

    • A live inbox

No refresh button to mash. New mail appears automatically, and a browser notification can tell you when it arrives.

    • Short, memorable addresses

Random addresses are one word and two digits, easy to type on a phone. Or pick any free name you like.

    • You choose how long it lasts

Keep an address for 1 hour, 1 day or 7 days, and extend it whenever you need more time.

    • Private by default

Remote images are blocked until you allow them, so senders can't tell when you open their email. HTML emails are shown in a sandbox with scripts removed.

    • Attachments included

Download attachments or the original .eml file, and switch between formatted, plain text and source views.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is temp mail?

Temp mail is a disposable email address you can use instead of your real one. It receives email like a normal inbox and then deletes itself, so spam and marketing never reach your personal account.

    Is this temporary email free?

Yes. Addresses, the inbox and all features are free, with no sign-up.

How long does a temporary address last?

1 hour, 1 day or 7 days, whichever you choose, and you can extend it before it runs out. When it expires, the address and all of its emails are deleted.

Can I send email from a temp mail address?

No. Addresses are receive-only, which keeps the service from being used to send spam.

Can I choose my own address?

Yes. Open the options, type a name of 3 to 32 letters, numbers, dots, hyphens or underscores and create it. If someone else is already using it, pick another.

Can I open my inbox on my phone?

Yes. Tap Other device and scan the QR code with your phone to open the same inbox there. Anyone with that code can read the inbox, so keep it to yourself.

Should I use temp mail for important accounts?

No. Once an address expires its emails are gone and someone else may create the same address later, so you couldn't reset a password. Use it for one-off sign-ups, downloads and trials.

    Is there a size limit?

Each email can be up to 1.9 MB including attachments, and an inbox keeps its newest 100 emails.
